A. Wallis Lloyd

Alan Wallis Lloyd , actually Alan Nothnagle (born May 4, 1962 in Iowa , USA), is a German-American author of Welsh descent.

Life

Lloyd spent his childhood in France, where he went to school in Paris and Poitiers . He studied history and German at the State University of New York as well as in Tübingen and at the Humboldt University in Berlin . Since 1991 he has lived in Berlin as a freelance writer, interpreter and translator .

A. Wallis Lloyd is the author of adventure novels for young readers. Four of them belong to the "Korongo series" by Dieter Frieß Verlag . The series is set primarily in Africa, but also partly in North America and Europe, and describes the experiences of Jenny Sandau, the teenage daughter of German emigrants in Tanzania . In addition to some political and historical references, the examination of foreign cultures and ways of life, aviation, diving, the problems of growing up and moral courage are among the frequent topics in these books. Lloyd is also the author of several children's books published by Edition Graugans .
