The A120 is a trunk road in the south of England. It runs east from Puckeridge , East Hertfordshire to Harwich , Essex on the North Sea coast. Its route was determined in 1922, initially only between the A10 in Puckeridge and the A12 in Marks Tey.
The A120 begins at a roundabout with the A10 north of London . In the process she passes the following larger places and objects:
It ends at a roundabout in Harwich City Harbor.
State of development
As the A120 starts traffic to London Stansted Airport, the section between the M11 and Braintree was re-routed as a four-lane expressway in the 2000s. The four-lane bypass around Braintree is carried out together with the A131 road . Further on, the Colchester bypass (shared here with the A12 ) has four lanes and a short section with six lanes. The remaining road sections are two-lane, in the area of junctions with additional main lanes.
