The A69 road ( English for road A69 ) is a designated primary route in England , which leads in a west-east direction from the A6 road in Carlisle to the A1 road in Denton Burn , a suburb of Newcastle upon Tyne .

The road begins in the center of Carlisle, is from its junction with the M6 motorway at its junction 43 at junction 43 on a two-lane primary road, takes the A689 road west of Brampton and bypasses Brampton south. On its further course to the east it bypasses Halthwistle south and then follows the course of the Tyne . It becomes four lanes west of Hexham , bypassing this town and Corbridge , where the A68 road joins, in the north, as is Newburn , and finally ends on the A1 road west of Newcastle.
The street forms a section of Europastraße 18 .
