The 2008-09 season was the All American Hockey Association's first regular season . The five teams should complete 42 games each in the regular season , but the schedule had to be changed after the Chicago Blaze had to replace the financially troubled Detroit Dragons during the season . The team with the highest points in the regular season were the Chi-Town Shooters , who also won the Rod Davidson Cup for the first time in the play-offs .
