The Automobile Competition Committee for the United States (abbr .: ACCUS ) is the umbrella organization for automobile sport in the United States of America . The ACCUS has national sport sovereignty in the United States.

The ACCUS represents the national interests in the world federations FIA and has the status of an ASN ( French : Autorité Sportive Nationale , holder of the national sport sovereignty). Accordingly, ACCUS is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of international regulations and the issuing of licenses and is entitled to issue international FIA licenses for your national licensees.

  • Cooperation between member clubs, other national sports authorities and the FIA
  • Provision of appointments for the international calendar
  • Issuing international motorsport licenses to US and foreign citizens in the US
  • Issuance of starting permits
  • Issuance of historical vehicle documents and vehicle passes
  • Motorsport homologation of new vehicles and equipment
  • Monitoring and recording of national and international records

The National Motorsports Council (NMC) within ACCUS is a working group in which the member clubs , the racetrack operators and the industry work together to promote motorsport.
