ACS Award for Creative Invention

The ACS Award for Creative Invention has been given annually by the American Chemical Society (ACS) since 1968 to inventors in the fields of chemistry and / or chemical engineering who have contributed to the “material prosperity and happiness of people” with their inventions. Several Nobel Prize winners in Chemistry are among the winners. The award is endowed with 5,000 US dollars (as of 2018).
