Secret matter Hangar 18 (Original title: Hangar 18 ) is an American science fiction film from 1980 . In Germany the film first ran on January 16, 1987 on television.
action
A satellite is launched in space on a space shuttle mission and suddenly crashes into an emerging UFO , killing a crew member. Because of the presidential election, the White House chief of staff does not want to make these events public. A crashed UFO is seen in the desert of Arizona and NASA brings the object to Hangar 18 of a military base. In the UFO they find two deceased, human-like inmates.
The two crew members Price and Bancroft set off on their own to investigate the incidents. When they are able to locate a landing site, they are pursued by two agents who are shortly afterwards killed in a breakneck chase. The chief of staff tries to attack the hangar with a bomb-laden aircraft. The hangar is destroyed, but the UFO remains completely intact and is now visible to everyone.
criticism
The magazine Cinema thinks: "Silly drama in the yellow press style". The lexicon of international films judged: "Conventional science fiction film with solid trick technology, the predictable plot of which becomes increasingly implausible towards the end."
