Cliff Osmond , actually Clifford Osman Ebrahim (born February 26, 1937 in Jersey City , New Jersey - † December 22, 2012 in Santa Monica , California ) was an American actor . As a character actor, he has appeared in numerous film and television productions, including Das Mädchen Irma la Douce , Küss mich, Dummkopf and Der Glückspilz .

Life

In Germany he was best known for his participation in four Billy Wilder films. He has appeared in over 20 other films and over 150 television productions.

Cliff Osmond was a long-time member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ( Oscars ), the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences ( Emmys ), the Screen Actors Guild , AFTRA (actors ' union ) and the Writers Guild of America (authors' union ). Osmond was also an acting teacher, television writer and film director ( The Penitent ) .

He died of pancreatic cancer on December 22, 2012 at the age of 75 . His final resting place is in the Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery in Santa Monica, California.
