Laredo is an American Western - television series made by Universal Television for the US channel NBC was produced. Between 1965 and 1967 there were a total of 56 episodes in two seasons of 60 minutes each. It is an offshoot of the series The People from Shiloh Ranch , which also aired the pilot episode .

The series was about the adventures of Texas Rangers Reese Bennett, Chad Cooper and Joe Riley and their superiors Captain Edward Parmalee after the end of the American Civil War . Star Trek actors James Doohan , DeForest Kelley and Rene Auberjonois , as well as Julie Harris , Jack Lord , Cliff Osmond and Kurt Russell appeared in guest roles .

In 1969 some episodes became a feature film called Backtrack! Dangerous job cut together.
