Peter Brown (actor)

Peter Brown (* 5. October 1935 as Pierre Lind de Lappe in New York City , New York ; † 21st March 2016 in Phoenix , Arizona ) was an American actor .

Life

Brown studied acting at the University of California after his military service . He received a contract with Warner Brothers and initially played small supporting roles in various films and television series. From 1958 to 1962 he played in 75 episodes on the side of John Russell the Deputy Johnny McKay in the western series Lawman . In 1965 he was signed by Universal Pictures and played Texas Ranger Chad Cooper in 56 episodes .

He was a well-booked guest star on television series in the 1970s and 1980s, from Cobra Take on Magnum , Knight Rider to Baywatch . He played in the soap opera Shadow of Passion between 1981 and 1982 and 1989 to 1991. His film roles included the blaxploitation film Foxy Brown , Sayonara with Marlon Brando and The Man from Philadelphia with Paul Newman in the lead role.

Brown was divorced four times and has two sons.
