Alldra is a band from Vorarlberg , Austria. The name means “always on” in the Vorarlberg dialect . The phrase is a common answer to the question “How are you?” In Vorarlberg.
history
Alldra was founded in 1995 by Bernhard Breuer and Bernhard Widerin in Vienna. She became known in Vorarlberg as the opening act for Reinhold Bilgeri and Michael Köhlmeier . In 1996 the band was expanded to include accordionist Martin Hartmann, who has been an integral part of the band ever since.
In the following years Alldra played in a three-man cast and with various guest musicians, such as Wolfgang Lindenthal (qWIENtett) on the flute, Robin Gillard (Ramona Kasheer) on drums or Sina Samieian (Baal) and Martin Weissmayr (Mauracher) on bass.
In 2003, Sven Larsen (scallywag) joined as the fourth permanent member. Several appearances and recordings for the Ummanand album followed . Sven Larsen died in the spring of 2004. Marcello Girardelli has been an integral part of the group as a double bass player since autumn 2004. In autumn 2011 the album Domm by Johann Kneihs was presented in the radio show Spielraum on radio program Austria 1 of the ORF , followed by concerts in Munich (Volkstheater) and Linz (AK).
