classification

Founded AMV Stochdorphia 1857 in deliberate contrast to the then only colors supporting corporations . It is the first and oldest non-colored German student union. One of the founders was the theologian Emil Stochdorph, to whom the connection owes its name. In 1920 she joined the Special Houses Association (SV).

Historical

Corona for the 50th Foundation Festival in 1907

Germany ” still consisted of many small states, the Hambach Festival was 15 years ago, the March Revolution of 1848 only nine years ago when the Stochdorphia was founded. According to the understanding of the connection, the fatherland in the motto is therefore not related to the past, but to be interpreted as a political task for the future - as political freedom for a future democratic German nation-state. The liberal idea continued into the further history of the connection.

As early as the 1920s, the status of a striking connection was abandoned.

The Tübingen punt race was won in 1982, 1988 and 2014.

For membership, it does not matter what nationality, skin color, religion or faculty you belong to.

The task in the self-image of Stochdorphia is the intergenerational, intercultural and international exchange between academics and prospective academics . In addition, the course should be expanded to include musical aspects (making music together, theater, etc.).
