API Technical Data Book

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The API Technical Data Book is a collection of material data and standardized methods recommended by the American Petroleum Institute for the estimation of the most varied of parameters that are important in petroleum processing processes . The book was first published 40 years ago; the current edition is the 8th edition.

chapter

  1. General properties
  2. Substance characterization (mainly of petroleum mixtures)
  3. Distillation conversions (from standardized models to real processes)
  4. Critical properties of basic substances and mixtures
  5. Saturation vapor pressure
  6. density
  7. Thermal properties (such as heat capacities )
  8. Vapor-liquid equilibria
  9. Aqueous phase equilibria
  10. Surface and interfacial tension
  11. viscosity
  12. Thermal conductivity
  13. Diffusivity
  14. combustion
  15. Absorption equilibrium

Authors

The API maintains a Technical Data Committee in which scientists and experts from various companies work.
