API Technical Data Book
The API Technical Data Book is a collection of material data and standardized methods recommended by the American Petroleum Institute for the estimation of the most varied of parameters that are important in petroleum processing processes . The book was first published 40 years ago; the current edition is the 8th edition.
chapter
- General properties
- Substance characterization (mainly of petroleum mixtures)
- Distillation conversions (from standardized models to real processes)
- Critical properties of basic substances and mixtures
- Saturation vapor pressure
- density
- Thermal properties (such as heat capacities )
- Vapor-liquid equilibria
- Aqueous phase equilibria
- Surface and interfacial tension
- viscosity
- Thermal conductivity
- Diffusivity
- combustion
- Absorption equilibrium
Authors
The API maintains a Technical Data Committee in which scientists and experts from various companies work.
