ASTERIA ( Arcsecond Space Telescope Enabling Research in Astrophysics , "arcsecond space telescope that enables research in astrophysics ") is a miniaturized space telescope with dimensions of about 10 × 20 × 30 cm and a weight of about 12 kg, its construction on the Cubesat -Standard builds. It was on August 14, 2017 Dragon CRS-12 on a Falcon 9 - carrier rocket from the Kennedy Space Center to the ISS brought and from there on 20 November 2017, a low Earth orbit suspended. In a project phase of 90 days, the suitability of this satellite for the discovery of exoplanets using the transit method is to be demonstrated.
