FireMV is a brand name of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and previously ATI Technologies for professional graphics cards . The FireMV series is offered for professional 2D applications (image processing, multi-head solutions for stock exchanges, medicine, etc.) and is primarily intended for the use of multiple monitors, which is what the name FireMV ( M ulti V iew ) also means clarified.

In addition, the manufacturer grants preferential support for these high-priced cards in order to adapt to the needs of companies - for example in the financial sector.

The FireMV graphics cards still have a 3D acceleration, which from the FireMV 2250 (based on RV516) is roughly on par with the Radeon X1550 . The cards are available for PCI as well as for PCI-Express and the connection of several monitors is realized via a DMS-59 connection. So you can connect DVI monitors.
