AMD Xilleon

AMD Xilleon is a family of multimedia processors originally developed by ATI Technologies (ATI) and renamed (formerly: ATI Xilleon ) after AMD acquired ATI . The Xilleon processors are SoCs with a 32-bit MIPS architecture for use in set-top boxes and IDTVs . The various processors mainly offer hardware-accelerated MPEG2 decoding and 3D functions.

The Unified Video Decoder (UVD) is based on the technology of the Xilleon processors. The Xilleon division was taken over by Broadcom on August 25, 2008 .
