history

Headquarters Müllheim of AUMA Riester GmbH & Co. KG

In 1964 Werner Riester and Rudolf Dinse founded AUMA Riester GmbH & Co. KG in a garage in Nellingen . Seven years later, as part of the expansion, the company headquarters were relocated to Müllheim and moved into in 1973. SA drives and GK, GST gears have been produced there since then. In 1974 the first sales company outside Germany was founded in the Netherlands . A subsidiary in the USA was added two years later . Today, production is also carried out at this location. The company now has 19 branches around the world. In 1986 AUMA began to produce the actuator controls itself. In 1988, the factory was expanded at the headquarters by purchasing a factory building in the neighborhood. In 1991, with the takeover of the Coswig gear factory, the foundation stone was laid for the AUMA Group, which was to be followed by the acquisition of SIPOS Aktorik GmbH in Altdorf near Nuremberg in 2000 and that of Haselhofer Feinmechanik GmbH in Villingen-Schwenningen in 2006 . In 2008 DREHMO GmbH in Wenden (Sauerland) became part of the AUMA Group. In 2004, the capacity was expanded in Müllheim with the construction of a new hall for processing the housings and manufacturing the machine parts. In 2008, the two company founders were awarded the Federal Cross of Merit in Müllheim . From 2001 to 2017, the AUMA Group's sales increased from 139 to 400 million euros.
