A Story of Healing is an American documentary about Interplast and Resurge International from 1997.

In January 1997 a team of three surgeons, four anesthetists and five nurses traveled to Vietnam. You work there as a volunteer for two weeks. During this time, 110 children suffering from birth defects and injuries are treated. The team talks about the motivation for this commitment and the importance for the members personally.
Awards
In 1998 , the film received an Oscar in the Best Documentary Short Film category. In 2007, the film was placed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives (CC-BY-NC-ND) license , making it the first film to be awarded an Oscar under a free license .
