A touch of jazz
A Touch of Jazz was a German-American jazz - quartet . It played in the line-up of George Buckner ( drums ), Dieter Köhnlein ( piano ), Bernhard Mrohs ( double bass ) and Michael Session ( saxophone ). In the 1980s, the quartet played mainly in Germany and neighboring countries in jazz clubs and at international festivals such as the Leverkusen Jazz Days , Jazz East-West in Nuremberg , and the Krakow Jazz Festival . The quartet produced an LP under the same name. In 1986 they received second prize at the international competition in Karlovy Vary . The quartet disbanded in 1989 after working together for almost ten years.
