A True Romance is a rock band from Ulm .

The band belongs to the genres of modern rock, alternative rock and metal . The name was based on the film True Romance .

history

A True Romance was founded in 2007 by Claus M. Schwarz ( vocals , guitar , bass ) and Jürgen Schafknecht (guitar) in Aulendorf . Inspired by Jürgen Schafknecht's fast and rhythmic guitar playing, they initially mainly played in the metal genre .

Until the current line-up with the current musical direction was found in January 2015, there were several musician changes in the bass area.

Due to the lack of a drummer (2009-2011), programmed drum tracks and sequences were used both during rehearsals and live. All songs were counted in via a personalized in-ear monitoring system and additional acoustic information was optionally given. This informed z. B. About the key of the next piece or about other structural features of the song such as breaks , instrument or time changes. Michael Schorpp was in charge of this musical solution. In this case he acted as bass player and producer at the same time.

The band's first release came in 2010 with the album Oasis , which was rated on several metal portals. In 2012 the album The Fierce Adventures of Jazz the Rabbit followed , which was mixed by Billy Graziadei from Biohazard .

The EP Dance Like a Robot was released in early 2018 .
