The University Hospital Aalborg is a hospital in the region North Jutland , Denmark . It is the largest employer in North Jutland with around 6,500 employees. The university hospital has departments in Farsø , Hobro , Frederikshavn , Hjørring and Thisted .

It undertakes special treatments for the region and parts of the Midtjylland region (around 640,000 inhabitants in total), regional health care for around 490,000 inhabitants and functions as a local hospital for around 250,000 inhabitants. As the largest hospital in the region, the university hospital plays a central role in cooperation with the two municipal hospitals Sygehus Vendsyssel and Sygehus Thy Mors as well as the private clinics in North Jutland. But it is also making a name for itself at the national level.

The fertility clinic (fertility clinic) and radiology department at the Dronninglund site will be closed in 2015.
