The company operated as a subsidiary of the US pharmaceutical and consumer goods manufacturer Johnson & Johnson until 1990 as Mecron . It develops, manufactures and sells biomaterials and implants for use in orthopedics . The products such as cannulated screws, standard plates, bone cement and bone replacement materials are used in traumatology and spine surgery .
The company's IPO , at that time still on the Neuer Markt , took place on May 10, 1999; it has been listed in the Prime Standard segment since 2003 . The issue price of par value bearer - shares was 10 euros. In 2004 Aap had 100 employees.
