Aarmühle (Taunusstein)

The Aarmühle is a former watermill in the Wehen district of the city of Taunusstein in the Rheingau-Taunus district in Hesse . The mill was powered by the Aar .

In 1230/31 the Aarmühle was donated to the Teutonic Order by Count Heinrich the Rich . 1347 belehnte the German preceptory in Mainz the reeve Contze to Wiesbaden with a below Wehens at the Aar located yard. In the Duchy of Nassau the mill was a domain estate . The documents from that time are in the Hessian main state archive . Today the mill is used as a pension .
