Aaron Pedersen (born November 24, 1970 in Alice Springs , Northern Territory ) is an Australian actor and voice actor . At the end of the 1990s he became known nationally for his roles in the television series Wildside and Water Rats - Die Hafencops and also worked in international film productions.

Life

Pedersen has Arrernte , Ngarabana and Australian Aborigines as ancestors. Before his breakthrough as an actor, he worked as a journalist for ABC in Melbourne .

He made his television debut in 1993 in the television series Crocadoo . A year later he starred in the mini-television series Heartland as Clarrie Carmichael . From the mid-1990s on, he increasingly appeared in domestic film productions. From 1997 to 1999 he played the character Vince Cellini in a total of 60 episodes of the television series Wildside . He played the role of Detective Senior Constable Michael Reilly in 86 episodes of the television series Water Rats - Die Hafencops from 1999 to 2001. In 1999, Pedersen married, but the marriage was divorced after only one year. At the turn of the millennium he worked as Dr. Tony McKinnon in the TV series MDA . Between 2007 and 2011 he had several casts in various television series.

Pedersen acted as Cam Delray in the Jack Irish series. From 2012 to 2014 three films appeared with his participation. From 2016 to 2018 he played the same role in the television series of the same name. In 2014, he was cast as Tim Simons on the television series The Code . From 2017 to 2018 he played the role of Frank Gibbs in the historic television series A Place to Call Home . Since 2018 he has played the role of Detective Jay Swan in the television series Mystery Road - Disappeared in the Outback , which he already played in the 2013 film of the same name. In 2020 he could be seen in High Ground and the German feature film Barefoot Through Australia .
