Aaron Schwartzman

Aaron Schwartzman (also Aron Schvartzman , Aarón Schvartzman , born December 9, 1908 , † January 15, 2013 ) was an Argentine chess player .

Schwartzman won the fourth championship of South America in Mar del Plata in 1934 and took second place behind Isaías Pleci at the sixth championship of South America in Mar del Plata in 1936 .

At Argentine championships Schwartzman reached third place in 1933, 1935 and 1936, in 1937 he was fourth.

On October 20, 2009 Schwartzman played at Club Argentino de Ajedrez on the occasion of its centenary a "game of the 200 years" against Francisco Benkö , who was one and a half years his junior , which ended in a draw.
