The Abatus Bay is a bay on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth country . It is a side bay of Prydz Bay and is located immediately north of Davis Station on the north side of the Breidnes Peninsula in the Vestfold Mountains area . Its northern limit is defined by the islands of Anchorage Island , Trigwell Island and Flutter Island .
Australian scientists named them after sea urchins of the genus Abatus , whose five known species are all represented in large populations in the bay.
