Abbas Alizadeh ( listen ? / I ; * 1951 ) is an American Near Eastern archaeologist from Iran . Audio file / audio sample

Alizadeh studied first at the University of Tehran and later at the University of Chicago Oriental Institute , where he received his doctorate in 1987. Here he works as a senior research associate. He led u. a. Excavations in Chogha Mish and Chogha Bonut .
