Abdelkader Laïfaoui ( Arabic عبد القادر العيفاوي, DMG ʿAbd al-Qādir al-ʿAifāwī ; * July 29, 1981 ) is a former Algerian soccer player .

Career

Laifaoui was born in Algeria and started his career in 1999 at OMR El Anasser . He made his debut for the national team on August 17, 2004 in a 2-2 draw against Burkina Faso. In the following years he had to wait five years for his next appointment in the Algerian selection.

At club level, the defender came to ES Sétif via NA Hussein Dey and CR Bélouizdad , where Laifaoui and his club won the Algerian championship, the Arab Champions League and the North African football championship, as well as the final of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Due to his good performance, he was reinstated in the national team squad by national coach Rabah Saâdane in August 2009 and took part in the Africa Cup of 2010 in Angola , where Algeria failed in the semi-finals against eventual winners Egypt . Abdelkader Laïfaoui was in the Algerian squad for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa , where he was not used. After the tournament, Laifaoui was last used on September 3, 2011 in the qualifier against Tanzania .

From July 2011 to June 2015 Laifaoui played for USM Algiers . With the club he was able to win the Algerian championship, the Algerian Cup and the UAFA Cup again . In summer 2015 he moved on to USM Blida and ended his active career there three years later.
