Abdou Daouda

Abdou Daouda (* before 1990 in Gaffati ; † May 15, 2009 ) was a Nigerien politician .

Life

Abdou Daouda came from the traditional ruling family of Gaffati. He worked in the real estate industry. In the early 1990s he became a member of the newly founded Democratic and Social Assembly party (CDS-Rahama), for which he initially worked as chairman of the local section of Gaffati and later rose to become a member of the party leadership.

Under President Mamadou Tandja ( MNSD-Nassara ), Abdou Daouda became Minister of Professional and Technical Training, in charge of Employment, in the government of December 30, 2004 with Hama Amadou (MNSD-Nassara) as Prime Minister. The ministry was newly created in this form. In the subsequent government of March 1, 2007, Daouda served as Minister for National Competitiveness and the Fight Against Expensive Living. After a vote of no confidence by the National Assembly , which led to the resignation of Prime Minister Hama Amadou, the government was formed on June 9, 2007 with Prime Minister Seini Oumarou (MNSD-Nassara). Daouda also belonged to the new government and kept his portfolio.

Abdou Daouda died in office on May 15, 2009 as a result of a car accident in which he was involved while on a business trip. He was buried in the cemetery of Birni , the old town of Zinder .
