Abdoulie Kanagi Jawla

Abdoulie Kanagi Jawla (born November 11, 1956 ) is a politician in the West African state of Gambia .

In the 1997 parliamentary elections , Jawla stood as a candidate for the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) in the constituency of Sandu and was able to win the constituency successfully. In the following elections in 2002 , Jawla was an unopposed candidate and represented Sandu again in parliament. In the 2007 elections , Jawla was able to defend his constituency against his opponent Foday Sanyang from the National Alliance for Democracy and Development (NADD). From 2009 he was also a member of the Pan-African Parliament of the African Union (2009-2014) . There he was on the Agriculture Committee.
