Abdullah Halis Dornbrach

Abdullah Halis Dornbracht (born on 5. May 1945 in Berlin- Charlottenburg is) a German Sufi - Sheikh of the Mevlevi - Sufi and traditional Islamic scholar.

Life

Dornbrach converted to Islam in February 1965. He has the authority to teach (ijza) of the Sufi orders Naqschibendiyyaî, Rifaiiyya, Jscherrahiyya and Qaderiyya. He maintains a traditional Tekke in Trebbus , a district of the town of Doberlug-Kirchhain in the Elbe-Elster district in the state of Brandenburg .

The story A'mâk-ı Hayâl ( The Depth of Visions ) by the Ottoman author Ahmed Hilmi (1865–1914), which revolves around the term Wahdat al-wudschūd from Islamic mysticism, was translated into German by him.
