Abel Tador

Abel Tador (born October 28, 1984 , † June 14, 2009 ) was a Nigerian football player .

Athletic career

Tador began his adult career with NPA FC , which was promoted to the Nigeria Professional Football League in 2003 . In 2006 he moved within the championship to Sharks FC , in 2008 he moved on to Bayelsa United . There he was team captain , in summer 2009 he won the national championship with the team.

In June 2009 Tador was assaulted on his way home from the championship party following a league game and was shot dead.
