The Abercrombie Crests are a composite of rocky mountain peaks with a height of 1259 m in the northern section of the Darley Hills in the Churchill Mountains . They are located approximately 14 km southeast of Mount Deleon .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them after Thomas James Abercrombie (1930-2006), foreign correspondent for National Geographic Magazine between 1957 and 1990, who was responsible for Antarctica from 1957 to 1958 .
