The Große Kutzowsee is a lake near Plöwen in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
The approximately 18 hectare large body of water is located in the municipality of Plöwen. There is a swimming area and a holiday camp on the southern bank. The lake also has a 0.6 hectare island. In the north and south the lake has tributaries through ditches from the surrounding fields. The maximum size of the small lake is about 770 by 360 meters. The area around the lake and the lake itself are designated as an FFH area . The lake is also designated for fishing and is home to species of fish such as roach , lead , white bream , perch , tench , wolffish , pike and eel .
Immediately southwest of the Großer Kutzowsee is the Kleine Kutzowsee .
