Excavation Act

The excavation laws of the German federal states regulate the aboveground, near-surface extraction of mineral resources in opencast mines , insofar as they are not subject to mining law and are to be treated according to the Federal Mining Act .

It is particularly about gravel , sand , clay , loam , limestone , dolomite , other rocks , peat and mud .
