Abraham ben Samuel ibn Chasdai
Abraham ben Samuel (ha-Levi) ibn Chasdai (* 12th or 13th century, possibly in Barcelona ; † 1240 in Barcelona ) was a Jewish translator and poet. He translated into Hebrew numerous Arabic works of philosophical, scientific and fictional importance that were important in cultural history .
Life
He came from a distinguished family of Jewish scholars. In the Maimonides dispute he took sides in favor of the great scholar.
