Jakob Goldenthal

Jakob Goldenthal (born April 16, 1815 in Brody , Galicia , † December 27, 1867 in Vienna ) was an Austrian orientalist .

Life

Goldenthal died on December 27, 1867 as an associate professor at the University of Vienna . More deserving than his independent work (partly in the memoranda of the Vienna Academy , of which he was a corresponding member) are the editions of several handwritten works from older Jewish literature that he organized.

He also wrote an Arabic grammar in the Hebrew language (Vienna 1862).
