Abraxas (Darknet Market)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Abraxas was a darknet market operated as a hidden service in the Tor network , on which, among other things, illegal drugs , digital goods and various services were traded. The anonymous crypto currencies Bitcoin and Dashcoin were accepted as means of payment .

After Agora went offline in August 2015, Abraxas was the second largest darknet market after AlphaBay . In November, the market went offline unannounced and with no disbursement of the trust funds, although it is unclear whether it was an exit scam or a consequence of massive DDoS attacks on the Tor network that temporarily affected the majority of the markets .
