The Absamer Klettersteig is a via ferrata that leads from the Halltal to the Bettelwurfhütte . It opened in 2011.

The via ferrata begins at the "Bettelwurfeck" (Ⅱ. Ladhütte) in the Halltal at around 1160 m above sea level. A. From there it leads on the southern slope of the Halltal to the exit point at about 1780 m above sea level. A. near the beggar's hut.
The via ferrata may not be used on the descent. The path from the Bettelwurfhütte or over the Lafatscher Joch can be used to descend .
difficulty
The walking time on the via ferrata is given in the literature as three hours. The length of the route is 1,300 meters, the difference in altitude about 600 meters. The difficulty of the via ferrata is mainly rated A and B on the Hüsler scale , two key points with C. The walking times from Absam to the entry point and from the exit point to the Bettelwurfhütte are each around an hour.
