Abulfeda is an impact crater in the southeastern front of the moon . It is located southwest of Descartes crater and northeast of Almanon . The chain of craters Catena Abulfeda runs in a south-easterly direction, tangent to the southern edge .

Its diameter is around 62 kilometers. The crater was named in 1935 by the IAU after the Syrian geographer Abu l-Fida (1273-1331).
