Pachara Pattabongse
Pachara Pattabongse ( Thai : อัจฉรา ปั ต ต พงศ์ ; * around 1938 ) is a former Thai badminton player . She was one of the most important players in this sport in Thailand in the 1960s .
In 1958 she first attracted international attention when she won the Malaysian Open . A year later she won both the Malaysian Open and the Southeast Asian Games in badminton in women's singles. In the second edition of the Southeast Asian Games in 1961, she lost the final against Tan Gaik Bee from Malaysia and won silver. In 1966 she won the bronze medal at the Asian Games in doubles with her sister Pratuang Pattabongse . Four years later she won bronze in women's doubles with Sumol Chanklum and silver in mixed with Bandid Jaiyen . In 1971 it was enough gold again at the Southeast Asian Games , where she won doubles with Thongkam Kingmanee .
