Achim Beiersmann

Achim Beiersmann (born October 26, 1979 ) is a former German basketball player . The 1.80 meter tall player played nine games in the basketball league for Schwelm.

career

He played in the youth of the TG Rote Erde Schwelm. In 2000 Beiersmann rose to the 2nd basketball league with the Schwelmer Baskets . After four years in the second highest German class, he made it to the Bundesliga with Schwelm in 2004 as a master of the northern season. In the “Oberhaus” Beiersmann completed nine appearances in the only Schwelmer Bundesliga season and recorded an average of 1.7 points per match.

After the Bundesliga relegation and the withdrawal to the regional league, Beiersmann remained loyal to the team. In 2010 he rose with Schwelm from the Regionalliga to the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . In the 2010/11 season he still came to work in the ProB, but withdrew from the Schwelm men's team after 14 years due to injury during the course of the season. In October 2011 he was the first person to be accepted into the “ Hall of Fame ” of the TG Red basketball team.
