Achim Engelberg

Achim Engelberg (born September 7, 1965 in East Berlin ) is a German author, editor and filmmaker.

Career

He is the son of the historian Ernst Engelberg and the Germanist Waltraut Engelberg . Growing up in East Berlin, he studied history and theater studies. After a few internships - including with the playwright and director Heiner Müller - and a doctorate on the English author John Berger , he works as a publicist.

He writes regularly for the NZZ , the newspapers for German and international politics , Der Freitag and Kommune, among others . Forum for politics, economy and culture and lives in Berlin.
