Achim Häßler

Achim Häßler (born July 7, 1953 in Colditz ) is a German physicist and politician ( FDP ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Häßler initially trained as an agricultural engineer. From 1975 to 1980 he studied physics at the Technical University of Dresden , passed the examination as a graduate physicist and from 1980 to 1988 worked as a scientific and technical assistant at the research center of Carl Zeiss in Jena . In addition, in 1983 he began studying microprocessor technology at the Technical University of Karl-Marx-Stadt , which he completed in 1985 as a specialist physicist. In 1989 he received a position at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena , medicine, medical informatics working group. Today he is active in research at the Jena University Hospital.

politics

Häßler joined the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and was elected to the Thuringian state parliament in 1990, to which he belonged until 1994. Here he was parliamentary manager of the FDP parliamentary group.
