Achim Hallerbach

Achim Hallerbach (born March 6, 1966 in Eitorf ) has been the district administrator of the Neuwied district since January 1, 2018 .

Career

After completing secondary school in Neustadt (Wied) , Achim Hallerbach trained as a draftsman specializing in building construction . He then worked in an architecture office and civil engineering company.

In 1987 Hallerbach joined the CDU and was a member of the municipal council for twenty years from 1989. From 1989 Hallerbach also took on full-time political functions at the CDU in Wiesbaden and Mainz , for example as state manager of the Young Union of Rhineland-Palatinate . Then he became office manager and managing director of the Thuringia regional group of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group in Bonn . While working, he began studying as a PR and communications consultant.

In 1994 he became press spokesman and head of public relations for the Federal Association for Secondary Raw Materials and Waste Management. From 2002 to December 15, 2008, as an entrepreneur, he was the owner of two marketing and communication companies.

In December 2008 he was elected full-time 1st district member of the Neuwied district and confirmed in office in December 2016.

Private

Hallerbach grew up in Asbach- Schöneberg . Today he lives in Asbach with his wife and two children . He has been President of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Music Association since March 2018.
