Achim Rohnke

Achim Rohnke (born December 22, 1956 in Bielefeld ) was managing director of the film and TV production company Bavaria Film GmbH from July 1, 2008 to the end of March 2019 .

Life

From 1977 Rohnke studied business administration at the University of Münster and graduated in 1982 with a degree in business administration .

From 1982 to 1988 he began his career as a media manager at the consumer goods manufacturer Procter & Gamble in Schwalbach am Taunus , the last year in Toronto ( Canada ). From 1989 to 1991 he was media director at Jacobs Suchard in Bremen . In October 1991 he switched to Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) and became managing director of WDR mediagroup GmbH . From July 1994 to June 2008 he was also managing director of ARD-Werbung Sales & Services GmbH (AS&S) in Frankfurt am Main , which markets the advertising times of ARD radio and the ARD evening program. From October 2006 to June 2008 Rohnke was also managing director of AS&S Radio GmbH. During his time at AS&S, Rohnke co-founded the radio industry event RADIODAY and, with the WDR mediagroup, established the genre initiative "Radiozentrale" as a founding member.

On July 1, 2008 Rohnke became managing director of the TV production company Bavaria Film GmbH. He succeeded Dieter Frank and formed a dual leadership together with managing director Matthias Esche . Since October 6, 2014, Rohnke and Dr. Christian Franckenstein took over the management. In addition, Rohnke was Managing Director of Bavaria Studios & Production Services GmbH since August 2015. Due to age, he resigned his office at the end of March 2019, and until the end of 2019 he will still be working in an advisory capacity for the new building project "Lichtspiel Loft" he initiated at the Geiselgasteig media location.

Rohnke is married and has two children.
