The ARD-Werbung SALES & SERVICES GmbH ( AS & S ) markets the TV advertising in the ARD program , the first and allows the connection of radio advertising in 32 public and 12 private radio programs .

history

Radio advertising began in August 1949 on Südwestfunk , television advertising in November 1956 on Bayerischer Rundfunk . In 1954, the advertising companies of the state broadcasting corporations merged at ARD level to form the broadcasting advertising working group . 1962 followed the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Werbefernsehen , which in 1974 became the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Rundfunkwerbung (ARW) . In 1990 ARW was named ARD-Werbung, a working group of ARD advertising companies . In 1994 it became ARD-Werbung Sales & Services in Frankfurt am Main, which was converted into a GmbH in 1999.
