Acid Mothers Temple & the Melting Paraiso UFO (and all other names additives) is a Japanese psychedelic rock - collective around guitarist Kawabata Makoto. The group was founded in 1995 and consisted of a large number of musicians in the early years. Since 2004 the line-up has been reduced to a few permanent members and various changing guest musicians .
history
Kawabata Makoto originally formed the band under the name "Acid Mother's Temple" with the intention of producing "extreme trip music". His influences were in the area of progressive rock , Krautrock and the German composer Karlheinz Stockhausen .
Together with Koizumi Hajime, Suhara Keizo and Cotton Casino, Kawabata formed the original line-up of Acid Mother's Temple, with the first recordings all being Kawabata's own creations. This was followed in 1997 by the release of the self-titled debut album and the name change to Acid Mothers Temple . Collaborations with other, often Japanese, bands and under “adventurous” names are the order of the day.
