The Actes de la recherche en sciences sociales is a French social science journal, in 1975 by Pierre Bourdieu and a group of researchers from the Center de sociologie européenne was founded.

The journal publishes the results of completed or ongoing research in sociology and related disciplines such as social history , sociolinguistics and political economy . It aims to offer intellectual instruments for understanding social phenomena in today's world from the perspective of a critical sociology of forms of rule.

The magazine appears four times a year, in March, June, September and December. The editorial office is in Paris . The publisher is Franck Poupeau, editor-in-chief François Denord. The editorial committee includes Jérôme Bourdieu, Gisèle Sapiro , Franz Schultheis and Loïc Wacquant , among others .
