In 1995, Cobra Golf was bought by American Brands, a group of companies based in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, and incorporated into its subsidiary Acushnet.

In March 2010, Cobra Golf was sold to PUMA .

In May 2011, Acushnet was acquired by sporting goods manufacturer Fila for $ 1.2 billion .

In 2019, the group was able to buy Kjus, an up-and-coming clothing company for snow and golf clothing.
